The fashion industry is one of the most polluting in the world, consuming huge amounts of natural resources, emitting carbon and generating waste that harms the environment. But we believe that it is possible to do things differently.
In the Khiara , sustainability is not just a choice – it is an urgent need. Some of our pieces are produced with recycled fabrics from fishing nets removed from the oceans . We use recycled polyamide (eco-nylon) , a material that reduces dependence on virgin resources, such as oil, and contributes to reducing plastic waste in landfills and seas.
But sustainability goes beyond materials. We believe in practices ethical and responsible , ensuring fair working conditions and decent wages for everyone involved in the production of our pieces. Each article is carefully handcrafted in a workshop in the north of Portugal , where the atmosphere is welcoming and familiar.
